What is Dry Eye Disease?

Dry Eye Syndrome is a tear film disorder that may be due to reduced production or excessive evaporation of tears. It causes damage to exposed ocular surface tissue and may be associated with discomfort, pain, irritation, redness, and intermittent blurred vision.

Evaporative dry eye (86% of cases) may be caused by a malfunction of the tear glands in the eyelids. Dry eyes caused by decreased tear production may be the result of systemic disease.

Whether your dry eyes are evaporative or due to reduced production our doctors have the knowledge and specialized equipment to provide you treatment and relief.

What is the iProX System by MDelite?

The highest performing IPL device on the market with proprietary technology for increased comfort and best-in-class patient results. This equipment uses IPL and radio frequencies in synergy to optimize your dry eye treatment.

The MDelite IPL delivers polychromatic light pulses that reduce the size of blood vessels that carry inflammation to the ocular tissue. It is applied to the periorbital areas and the cheekbones to stimulate contraction of the glands thus increasing the lipid stream and reducing the evaporation of tears.

Celluma Light Therapy

Low-level light therapy (LLLT) is a unique technology that creates photobiomodulation within the ocular tissue. The emission of LED light at selected wavelengths triggers ATP formation and stimulates the production of meibum in the eyelid glands. This treatment stabilizes the lipid layer of the tears and reduces dry eye signs and symptoms.
